1 ounce of dried, shelf-stable GLUTEN-FREE sourdough starter. Reconstitute at any time— starters are known to last for years. To activate your starter, add a couple tablespoons of warm water, then leave alone overnight. The next day, feed with 1/4 cup gluten-free flour of choice. In the evening, discard half of the starter into the trash and feed with 1/2 cup flour and 1/4 cup water. Repeat this discard and feeding twice a day for 2 more days, and you will have active sourdough starter! Each packet of dried starter will come with a small paper of instructions.
